Double Dole Stringband play innovative and driving old-time tunes. Holding down the fiddle, banjo, mandolin, guitar, and vocals both sweet and rowdy, they've become stalwarts at venues around their borrowed hometown of Naarm/Melbourne, as well as folk festivals across the country
The band ventured into the studio in winter 2024 to record their debut full-length album, with the first single Lewin’s/Rusty’s released in February and the album set for release in Spring of 2025. When they're not playing original tunes, you can find them calling high energy bushdances, running inclusive old-time sessions, and picking into the wee hours.
