Displaced Records returns with their second show “Displaced at The Old Bar”, highlighting a lineup of 3 awesome bands with members from all over the world who now call Melbourne home.
In the spring heat of a night in Melbourne the stars have aligned to bring you MYSTERY SHOPPERS. This band new brand is taking never seen before originals to the stage. Scowls is an indie multimedia music and art project intrinsically wrapped within themes of youth, teenage rebellion, and adolescent wrath. Dissecting the cultures and mentalities of the adult world, Scowls inherently tackles coming of age and the transition into adulthood with the raw vitality of the DIY Aesthetic. Fusing musical influences from The Strokes, Radiohead and Alex G with the open emotional expressionism of bands such as Arcade Fire and Black Country New Road, Scowls is pure emotional and artistic expression from the maturing late teenage mind.”
Izzy weirs mouse orchestra is a revolving cast of poet Isolde Weir and an assortment of ragtag mischiefs from about town. Imagine a wes anderson movie about young gay love soundtracked by a balkan brass band. Expect shenanigans!
