Society of Beggars Album Launch
Naarm / Melbourne’s beloved alternative rock outfit, Society of Beggars, is gearing up for an exciting tour to promote their latest album, Levitator. Society of Beggars will grace stages in Tarndanya / Adelaide, Warrang / Sydney, Meanjin / Brisbane, and Naarm / Melbourne.
Levitator, released late last year, has received widespread praise for its sonic depth and rich instrumentation, melding primal rock riffs with deep emotional resonance.
“Nirvana-esque energy collides with rugged piano melodies and searing guitars.” - Happy Mag.
Produced by Lindsay Gravina, known for his work with diverse artists such as Jet, Rowland S. Howard, and Kate Miller-Heidke, Gravina notes, “The songs are compelling and come from a unique place. This is an act that deserves the world’s stage.”
Four songs were released as singles ahead of the album's release: God Mode, Dance The Evil, Lick, and Well of Wishes. Drawing from personal experiences, Society of Beggars delves into themes of grief, self-destruction, and emotional turmoil, all while maintaining the raw humanity that defines their sound.
