With guest MATILDA DUNCAN
The Old Bar (Fitzroy, VIC)

Grace Woodroofe's early career produced music with poignant potential; the striking singer/songwriter with an enigmatic quality was discovered and signed by the late Heath Ledger.
Ledger introduced Grace to the iconic Ben Harper, who would go on to produce her critically-acclaimed debut album, Always Want. A gorgeous blend of influences that evoked the sonic density of PJ Harvey and Cat Power, delivered through Woodroofe’s unique lens.
Woodroofe has been praised for her dynamic and engaging performances at a run of festivals as well as on
stages supporting artists like alt-J, Glass Animals, Matt Corby, and Jack Johnson, and Ben Harper both in
Australia and abroad.
Woodroofe is now gearing up to release her first full-length studio album in over ten years, working with collaborators such as Oscar Dawson (Holy Holy), Dustin Tebbutt and Matt Corby and will be previewing songs from her forthcoming album for the first time, detailing the journey that brought her back to herself and her artistry.
Joined by Special Guest, Matilda Dunn.
“She’s astonishing... And I don’t use that word but maybe once a decade.”
BEN HARPER
“...a singer and songwriter who can be haunted in one song, jolting in the next and somehow always at home
within the darkness she conjures. Every track, gentle or hard, leaves (her) voice exposed in all its doleful
intimacy.”
THE NEW YORK TIMES
“Grace Woodroofe sang like a woman possessed, trying to exorcise herself by sheer force of will. The result was
captivating, like watching Fiona Apple, if she were Jack White...”
