MIRROR CLIPPERS BATTLE OF RAGE VIDEO LAUNCH

Mirror Clippers will be launching their first ever video clip, directed by Lachlan J Meagher, for their single Battle of Rage at The Old Bar on Friday 2nd of October alongside Comatose, Tarcutta and Mousse Cannon 

Somewhere between CAN, BEAK> and Thee Oh Sees, Mirror Clippers carve out a sound that is relentless, fast, hypnotic and gentle all at the same time. The pair fuse psych, doom, kraut-rock, and avant-garde into a two-piece storm of analogue fuzz-driven power rock. While both share vocal duties, Daniel anchors drums & synth and Adrien simultaneously plays guitar & bass through an original hybrid instrument — a Melbourne-made monstrosity nicknamed The Gass.

Their self-titled debut LP only available on Bandcamp explores themes of love, AI betrayal, grief and release, carried by grooves that stretch from chaos to beauty in a single breath. Recorded live in just one day at Soundpark Studios in Northcote with Andrew Hehir aka Idge and mastered by Mikey Young (Eddy Current Suppression Ring), Mirror Clippers’ debut album captures the raw intensity of a band that thrives on catharsis, tension and unworldly tones.

MIRROR CLIPPERS are Naarm/Melbourne duo Daniel Brates (drums, synth, vox) and Adrien Siboulet aka SiB (guitar, bass, vox).

Mousse Cannon is a two-piece single entity hurling itself into the sun. The duo is known for producing a thick wall of rhythmic mousse that you sometimes lose your shoes in. Blending cuts of post-punk, experimental rock and new wave, Mousse Cannon is soon to release “Relaxative”, their upcoming album.

Tarcutta are an instrumental three-piece named after the truck-stop town halfway between Sydney and Melbourne where guitarist Justin Buckley grew up. Justin Wheelahan plays a vintage Model A Hammond with rotating Leslie speakers, Pete Barrett plays drums and Buckley switches between Wurlitzer and electric guitar. Together they make something between bastard jazz, analogue space rock and cinematic soundscapes, full of emotion and pelvis-vibrating pathos. Their latest album Rain In Space is available on Bandcamp.

Comatose is an experimental alt-rock brimming with explosive energy and a do-it-yourself attitude that commands your attention. Merging experimental techniques and shoegaze elements, they create an intriguing and dynamic sound, constantly experimenting with new textures and improvisation. Their push and pull dynamic approach provides room to breathe within songs, before building back up to crash down with titanic waves of sound, featuring stripped back verses and manic breakdowns sure to rattle your bones. They aim to give their audiences a physical reaction, wrapping the room in Cooper's crushing drums, Abby's biting bass, and Tyler's encompassing guitar and commanding vocals.
